EAA Forest Keepers Stewardship Fund

The EAA Forest Keepers Stewardship Fund is designed to provide nontraditional students the opportunity to participate in a “learning by doing” programs in environmental stewardship. EAA staff and peer professionals provide direct hands-on instruction in forest restoration, invasive species removal, local plant identification field classes, and environmental awareness. Forest Keepers are required to continually learn, formally or informally, with the objective of opening doors to their future. Through this personalized, professional mentoring and laborious stewardship work, everyone benefits from the restoration and renewed health of our local forests.

 

Planting a Seed Scholarship

The “Planting a Seed” Scholarship supports educational, nutritional, and basic medical care costs for Honduran children ages five to eighteen living in Cantarranas, Francisco Morázon, Honduras. Your generous monthly gift of just $45 ($540 annually) covers school costs and supplies, nutritional support, medical care, technology and internet access for one school year.

From Hive to Table Scholarship

The “From Hive to Table” Scholarship supports youth, male and female, ages 9 through 18 years old, at-risk for migration to the United States, living in the region of Cantarranas, Francisco Morázon, Honduras. Your generous monthly donation of $70 ($840 annually) funds a Honduran youth with the opportunity to participate in hands-on agroforestry and reforestation projects. “From Hive to Table” scholarship students receive all the benefits the “Planting A Seed” students receive, plus a work-study allotment that helps meet extraneous expenses that would otherwise limit their access to continuing education.
